Period Pain

Pain affects many women in different ways during their period. Commonly present more in younger woman with the pain easing as you age

As well as pain, some women experience other symptoms during their period:

  • Headaches
  • Tiredness
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Diarrhoea
  • Feeling faint

Here’s some tips to help reduce the pain:

  • Gentle exercise such as swimming or light cycling can help
  • Stretching exercises such as yoga or pilates can help reduced stress, tension and cramping, while improving circulation, flexibility and sleep patterns
  • Try using a heat pad or hot water bottle on the painful area, and sometimes a warm bath or shower can help also
  • Massage to the sensitive area may help
